Pantry team volunteers needed!
We have several openings for pantry team members to staff the pantry one Thursday afternoon per month. Read more about the job in the Volunteer tab, then let us know that you're interested!
Pantry closed, no dinner, 12/26 and 1/2
The food pantry will be closed, and there will be no community dinner, on 12/26 and 1/2, as our volunteers take time to enjoy the holidays. We'll be open as usual starting January 9, 2014. We wish all our clients and supporters a happy and healthy 2014!
2013 Turkey Trot--Wow!
The seventh annual Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving was a huge succes, thanks to over 275 runners and walkers and the hard work of Rich Hamilton and other organizers. The record number of participants raised a record $5,615 for the Bedford Food Pantry. This is our biggest fundraiser of the year, and we depend on and are grateful for the support. Everything you need to know about the Thanksgiving pantry
The Thanksgiving pantry will be held Monday, November 25, from 3:00-6:00. Anyone who is a pantry member and has a yellow card by Thursday, November 14 may reserve a frozen turkey and all the other ingredients for a turkey dinner. From 5:30-6:00 we will distribute any extras to people who were not pantry members by 11/14, or who didn't make a reservation.
The pantry will be open normal hours on November 21, and closed on Thanksgiving, November 28.
2013 Turkey Trot is almost here!
Mark your calendars for this year's Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving morning at John Glenn Middle School. A 5K Fun Run and Walk, the Turkey Trot is Bedford Food Pantry's biggest fundraiser.
